THE FAM CLUB’S PRIVACY POLICY

 

 

1)    Our Commitment to Privacy

 

Our Privacy Policy was developed as an extension of our commitment to combine the highest-quality products and services with the highest level of integrity in dealing with our clients and partners. The Policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect, use and safeguard the personal information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our site and our products and services. This statement will be continuously assessed against new technologies, business practices and our customers' needs.

 

2)    Registration

 

During registration you are required to provide contact information (such as name and valid email address). We use this information to contact you about the services on our site in which you have expressed interest. You must submit certain demographic information (e.g. gender, date of birth) to us; other demographic information is optional. Members can modify registration data associated with their account, and can control selected private information from being disclosed on their personal page. Notes and online chat communications are retained and are only accessible by the designated recipients, except that THEFAMCLUB.com personnel involved in maintenance of the system may have access to them.

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 14. After April 20, 2000, the Service has used reasonable commercial efforts to adhere to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") which prohibits the collection of personal information online from children under the age of 13 without first obtaining verifiable parental consent. Use of, and Membership in the Service is void where prohibited by law. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that (a) all registration information you submit is truthful and accurate; (b) you will continue to maintain the accuracy of such information; (c) you are 14 years of age or older; and, (d) your use of the Service does not violate any applicable law or regulation. Your profile may be deleted and your Membership may be terminated without warning, if we believe that you are under 14 years of age. If you under 18 years of age, you must review these Terms of Service with your parent or guardian before using the Service.

12)                        Service-related Announcements

 

We will send you strictly service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email. Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate your account.

 

13)                        Notice of New Services and Changes

 

Occasionally, we may also use the information we collect to notify you about important changes to our Web site, new services and special offers we think you will find valuable. As our client, you will be given the opportunity to notify us of your desire not to receive these offers by clicking on a response box when you receive such an offer or by sending us an email request at info@nationsbestmls.com

 

14)                        How Do We Secure Information Transmissions?

 

When you send confidential personal credit card information to us on our Web site, it goes to a reputable secure server software which encrypts all information you input before it transmits. The information is scrambled en route and decoded once it reaches the payment providers website.

 

Other email that you may send to us may not be secure unless we advise you that security measures will be in place prior to your transmitting the information. For that reason, we ask that you do not send confidential information such as Social Security or account numbers to us through an unsecured email.

Information Security. We utilize encryption/security software to safeguard the confidentiality of personal information we collect from unauthorized access or disclosure and accidental loss, alteration or destruction.

 

Valuation of Information Protection Practices. Periodically, our operations and business practices are reviewed for compliance with corporate policies and procedures governing the security, confidentiality and quality of our information.

 

Employee Access, Training and Expectations. Our corporate values, ethical standards, policies and practices are committed to the protection of customer information. In general, our business practices limit employee access to confidential information, and limit the use and disclosure of such information to authorized persons, processes and transactions.

Whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information on forums, through email, or in chat areas, that information can be collected and used by others. If you post personal information in public places, others may send you unsolicited email messages. Always be smart about the information you provide online.

 

If you use a blog, bulletin board, instant messenger or chat room on this site, you should be aware that any personally identifiable information you submit there can be read, collected, or used by other users of these forums, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in these forums.

In the event THEFAMCLUB.com goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your personally identifiable information will likely be among the assets transferred. 24)                        ONLINE SAFETY GUIDELINES

 

THEFAMCLUB.com is committed to providing a safe environment for our members to express themselves and meet new people in the community. To ensure safe and positive experiences for all users, we have written guidelines for our members to follow. The guidelines and tips are for parents and teens.

 

If your teenager is new to online social communities, we encourage you to talk to them about their online experience and review the following things with them:

 

1.      Terms of Service for understanding of rules of THE FAM CLUB.

2.      Make sure your teens take caution in interacting with other members.

3.      Suggest they talk to you if they want to meet an online friend in person so you can advise them on the proper safety precautions and make sure that initial meetings occur in a public with friends or a trusted adult present.

4.      Make sure your child does not lie about his or her age. We have an age restriction because there may be certain age specific content on the site that maybe inappropriate for those less than younger than 14. If your teens lie about their age, it may expose themselves as well as others to inappropriate content and interaction.

5.      Talk to your teens about the dangers of giving personal information to strangers.

6.      Talk to your teens about what to do if they are bullied or harassed by another member.

8.      Think before you submit! This is a pubic environment and anyone will be able to see what you add to your personal page. Remember, your friends, teachers, parents, or employers may happen to see what you have written and uploaded? Think about this before you add anything.

9.      There are some people who join the site just so they can instigate and annoy other members. Don’t feed into negative energy.

10.  Try to stay away from provocative screen names. Other members may get the wrong idea about who you are and what your intentions are.

11.  Don't harass or bully another member if you disagree with them in a chat room or a forum post.

12.  Don't disrespect yourself or others by uploading inappropriate photos and/or text.

13.  Pages that have inappropriate posts and comments violate our Terms of Service, may be shut down.

14.  Use your common sense and trust your instincts.
